This is a MIK Guild M-85 Reissue with bisonic pickup. No flaws that I can see in the finish. The neck and frets are in perfect shape and it plays great. I don't know the actual weight but it's slightly heavier than other hollow basses I have owned but not close to the weight of a solidbody. Probably somewhere in the 7 lb range. Original case and owners manual is included and the case is a beauty although does have some wear on the outside. Nothing major. $650 shipped in the USA OBO. Note that glossy black is a pain to photograph without reflections. Anything that might look off is dust or a reflection. I need to hire professionals when trying to capture black basses.
johnny alien, i noticed in pic that d and g strings not in saddle groove, any issues with bridge or spacing?
Haha...no just not paying attention on my part. I put the stock tuners back on it and didn't notice that I didn't get it into the correct groove when I restrung it quickly. The photo has been updated. Thanks!
They are GHS Superalloys in a medium scale. I found out quickly that you can't use short scale strings.
I have one of these, and it's a very nice, fun bass to play. there are a couple good youtube demos of it.
Cool. It's a looker for sure and I'm a sucker for chambered basses. If you don't mind, what strings are you using? You find it works better with rounds (nickels?) or flats?
Just to clarify there are no issues with the finish at all. The bass is glossy and black making it difficult to photograph without reflections.
