Any amp can be "rebiased" even a self biased Class A if the tubes avalible have drifted from original design specs. Fixed bias with a "pot" adjustment are the easiest, but even these may require changes in the bias circuit for "newer" tubes manufactured.

Oh yeah, I was wondering when someone was going to mention Mesa's ripoff tube-selling scam. Fixed bias, only use the correctly graded Mesa tubes, replace once a year...never mind that if you could bias it, the tubes could last decades. Those kind of games are what turns me off of Mesa products, no matter how good they are.

That is actually useful as the two tube types require different bias points, both points can be adjusted by a knowlegable Tech.
