My current bass head is in need of new tubes (need to order them). I have an old guitar head lying around somewhere. I do know it's an 8ohm impedance which is the same as my cab. Could I run my bass through a solid state guitar head into a bass cabinet?

Guitar Head Through Bass Cab Question

Btw, I checked my bass head last night and not only the tubes are broken, but something else is also broken (can't remember for the life of me right now). It was an older head so I want to buy new.
I use a Peavey VB-2. I bought it many years ago, and I know the current model is the VB-2. I think there is an older model, the VB-3 maybe?
it was a very good amp while it lasted, and I plan to buy the new vb2, my old tone was killer!!!!!
I'm not really too interested in selling it. I may take it to an amp tech because what is broken I can't fix it. As I said, it needs new tubes, and I may consider doing a refurb. But I would like to buy new as well. You know, keep the old one as my home amp and use the new one for gigs.

Well, Peavey made a VB-2 bass amp. The newer, more powerful version is the VB-3. I don't know of any Peavey VB-2 or -3 guitar amps.
