Guitar Tuning in 4ths

I got this guy today:

So far I'm really diggin' it. I want to tune it in 4ths and learn that way. But how does that bode for the first two strings? Since they'll be tuned up a half step won't they be more likely to snap? How do I get around that?

It should only be a problem if you use really thin strings. I have had my Les Paul tuned all 4ths for a long time now, and have yet to break a string.

BTW, there is a very active group on Facebook on playing in all 4ths tuning if you are interested.

Enjoy.
