I've got an 8 string Hagstrom that I'm replacing the jack on. Someone had wired it for XLR output, and when I tested it through the XLR jack, it's volume was pretty healthy. But now that I've replaced the XLR with a 1/4 inch jack, the volume has pretty much all but disappeared. I'm sure there's something wrong with how I wired it, but I've tried all the different combinations of hot leads & ground on the jack to no avail. Does anyone know where I could find a wiring schematic for this bass? The vintage is around the late 60's.

Mark, I used to have one but sold it due to a financial situation. But, I just picked one up for half of what I sold the last one for, so I guess it all works out. It will get here next week. When it comes, I'll take some photos and provide any guidance I can.
