Haven't touch this or any number of my basses for over a year...guess it's time to down-size!
This is a really nice Hane 5 but w/o the fancy body woods (...and price tag!). Please read the description below carefully!
*34" scale, 24 frets, 18 mm spacing, nut width 49 mm (5 string SoundGear is 44 mm).
*3 piece quartersawn neck, ornate BEM fingerboard, HipShot Ultralite machine heads.
*Dual-acting truss rod. This is, by far, the stiffest / most stable neck in the fleet. Strangely enough, the TR falls somewhere between 3.5-4 mm. I mod'd a conventional 4 mm hex key for the best fit and minimal "splay". You definitely want to manually flex the neck while adjusting. On the plus side, this bass rarely requires any relief adjustment.
*Body: unsure of the wood(s) but it does sport a subdued black sparkle metallic finish which is difficult to discern in the pics. There is a handful of minor indentation blems suffered via normal use.
*HipShot "B" bridge with some slight finish loss.
*Bartolini soapbars with a 3-band Bart preamp, 3-way mid frequency switch. Believe it's strung w/ Dunlop SuperBright something-or-another.
*Dunlop StrapLock buttons.
*Weight ~8.5 lbs, hardshell case.
*Overall condition: good / very good, certainly not excellent.
Asking $975 OBO shipped. The only trade bait I can think of is either a Ibanez headless 5 (...more curious than an actual need) or a QSC TouchMix 16...cash +/- to make the deal. I have depicted the bass as accurately as possible so please ask questions and/or weigh the deficits vs value before making an offer. That being said, I would have no difficulty blowing the dust off and gigging this very evening!
