I hope they come somewhere near DC/VA for the tour, It doesn't say anything on the site. Anyone know anything I don't?

I have seen them quite a few times over the years and have to agree with the above, anyone who wants to listen to a good sound can forget it, Motorhead ruin their tone by being too loud, I saw them a couple of years ago at Portsmouth and the sound was appalling, diehard fans were complaining about it being a crap gig due to the excessive volume spoiling the sound, in fact, the support bands Girlschool and The Damned were much better acts according to many on the night .
I like their music on recordings but not live, IMO by far the most musical Motorhead was the line up with Brian Roberston ex Thin Lizzy, another perfect day is a good album and the tour was good .
I've seen them three times, two out of three they were great, and the third time this was a problem. Yah, they're loud as crap. Everything Louder Than Everything Else and all that - but it's venue dependent. If they play a good venue with a PA that has plenty of firepower the stupid loud thing is fine. It's playing the substandard venues, like the one I will likely not attend in Vancouver, where poor PA support = poor sound = poor show.
Seeing them probably eight years ago in Ottawa and having the encore end with 'Killed By Death' was a standout and memorable moment in my extensive concert going career. Seeing them last year in Vancouver and not even being able to tell what song they were playing for the encore until the second chorus was not.
