Happy NBD! ‘95 Fender Jazz MIM in Lake Placid Blue

Happy new (to me) bass day! 1995 Fender MIM jazz in Lake Placid Blue. Gonna check the guts out and set it up with new strings tonight, but the electronics work and the neck is straight. Wonderful condition for a Bill Clinton era guitar. Came with a Fender hard case too.

Indeed – my 2000 MIM Standard Jazz also came with them, and that was my first mod of many.

Taken apart, inspected, cleaned, strung with new strings and set up. Sounds great and plays great.

I thought the pickups were muddy when I first took it out of the case and plugged it in, but that was just the old, dirty strings that looked like half rounds. But the new D’Addarios are nice and bright, the way I like ‘em.

I’m happy and spoiled. Just need to move the guitars I have listed on Reverb to pay for the purchase!
