Hardware/bridge for MTD Kingston Z4

Looking for advice/suggestions on upgrading hardware (bridge, knobs, machine heads) on my Kingston Z4. The gunmetal finish isn’t wearing well, plus having upgraded bridge and machine heads would be nice. Open to finish types so long as coordinate.

Tricky part is the bridge I think… it’s 5 screws - 3 bottom and toward pickups. I had a Schaller bridge that was 3 screws at bottom - but it wouldn’t have covered the two screw holes towards pickuos and the 3 bottom also didn’t line up. The (drop in) upgrade kits MTD sells for Kingstons have 4 screws and so aren’t a drop in for me. Width of bridge is about 175mm, base 3 screws are at 50, 90, & 130.

I doubt you're going to find a direct replacement. If you're not comfortable screwing new holes and placing the new bridge properly,
I'd suggest getting a repair person to do it for you. That said it's not really considered a heavy task.

That way you get to pick what you want for bridge features, not basing everything on screw patterns.

Hipshot offers a fine array of styles that while they won't just bolt on, they will help improve tone.
If you contact their customer service they will be able to tell you what they offer that would fit size/spacing wise.

Thanks Dirk - I’m not adverse to installing a different configuration… just didn’t know if there was something out there to avoid or take advantage of anything standard.

And was looking at ruler wrong - had a fraction of inches ruler and thought I was on CM side. That’s why you measure twice and common sense check, ha. Can’t find my MM ruler, so inches it is… 3.5” wide, 2” long, base screws spaced 0.75” apart
