I am planning to take up the bass guitar and am looking for a suitable, budget friendly practice amp. I am from Europe, and so Thomann is the most convenient retailer to use. I have been looking at the Harley Benton HB-80B and it seems like a great deal. For €150 you get 80 watts, a 12 inch speaker and a few other higher end features. As I will mostly be using this for home practice, the build quality and weight doesn’t concern me too much. My main concern is the tone. I play guitar and am quite picky about tone and so I want to make sure that the sound from this amp is good. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
