There’s one of these cabs for sale near me for $200. My concern is that it’s 4 ohms and I’d really rather have an 8 ohm cab to mix and match with various heads and other cabs. He says it’s rated for 400 watts.

Is the Transient Attack nomenclature significant? Does anyone know what drivers are in this cab?

The “transient attack” didn’t signify a specific model, it was just a slogan that they added to the amps and cabs back in the later 90’s. The speaker models were basically the entry level Transporter series or the higher end XL series.
If this cabinet is the XL version it might be worth something in the neighborhood of $200…if it’s the Transporter series, it’s probably worth half of that at best.

Now, this is all just my recollection and opinion, may not be true, so you should probably wait for more educated members to weigh in.

A 4 ohm 410 is generally considered a “one cabinet solution” with amps of an appropriate power rating. In this case, between 300 and 500 watts RMS.

This is why you don’t see many 8 ohm 410’s.

Did the Transporter ever come in a 4ohm config? I had one briefly and it was 8ohms.

Good point... I don't think there was a 4 ohm version. In fact, there wasn't a 4 ohm XL either. So that might be an older guild-era cabinet or Pre-XL. Either way, the drivers wouldn't be the same...There was some evolution towards the XL series.
