Hartke Cabs

$500 seems a bit steep based on the selling cost on the amazon links. looks like the two together were only $650 to start, which means a mere 23% discount off the new price.
i haven't played these cabs, but my rule of thumb is that i try to get used stuff, especially non boutique items, at half the original price. i wouldn't think an offer of $350 on those cabs would be offensive. but that's just my opinion.

hartike gear is really nice accually. It has a tone close to ampeg i wouldnt say full ampeg tone but they sound nice. I would wait for guitar center to get a hartike cab. the clackamas one gets them all the time and they sell cheap like as low as 50$ and no more then 100$. for some reason guitar center doesnt like hartike.

Usually if a store doesn't like an item, it is because the profit is higher on other stuff. That is why Carvin's experiment with indirect marketing failed in the 80's. That being said, I also don't love Hartke, partly because the construction of the cabinet is cheap. You can build much better quality much cheaper. 2 cents worth!
