Hartke Club?

Count Me In, Ijust got an HA 5000 VIA ups today from GC, I don't have speakers yet so i don't know how it sounds yet, I will be going to music store with it this week to check out some cabs and see what will be a good option, probably won't buy cabs till next month due to lack of funds, I will be using a Schecter Stilleto extreme-4 with 2 band active Eq. :p

Hartke HA7000, one 2.5XL, two 210XLs, and two 115XLs (got one of the 115s used & it came with a 400w Cetec Gauss 5841 paper driver in it).

I love the versatility. I've used a single 210 to jam with; played small clubs using just the 2.5; larger gigs with one 210 (or 2.5) on top of one 115; I've played outdoors using 2x210 on top of 2x115. I can use any combination of cabs, with or without the crossover, according to need. It's like having a room full of amps to choose from--anything from a 240 watt combo to a 700 watt biamped double stack.

If I ever get a club number, I'll post a pic. ;)

I do not own a Hartke anything; I did have a VX410, but didn’t like it. I am now looking at the 410XL, and would like some input on it. I know before the Hydrive cabinets the XL were the flag ship of their cabinets. I play R&B/Funk, Smooth Jazz, and a little Classic Rock. I’d be using this cabinet with a GK 800RB. My question is what kind of low end, and punch will get with that cabinet? I do slap, but most of the time I play finger style.

I am probably Hartke's biggest fan & have been using them since the late 80's exclusively. There is a very well known & respected sound & lighting co. in our area. They have used an 800RB with the 4x10XL as their only backline bass unit available for like the last 5 or 6 years. I've heard probably 10 bass players through it & it covered all the genre's you've mentioned very well. I still think the only thing that would make it better would be to run it with a Hartke head, but like I said, I am way biased.

Woody--I don't own one of these (I mix and match two 210XLs with two 115XLs as needed) but I sometimes sub for a guy who has 2 of them. I think his tone is excellent. Very tight. Plenty deep but not boomy, and plenty of punch and presence without it being obnoxiously bright. He told me he used to run one 410XL with a 115XL, but he thinks the 410XL actually has better low end than the 115XL. Hope this helps... --AB

Hey there Hartke Owners.
I was reviewing the thread and noticed that Stampy, the original administrator, is no longer assigning numbers. So I was wondering if anybody has a problem if someone else takes the lead on this thread? I can do it but I need your support. The last assigned number is 128... So we would continue with 129... Please post your opinions.

Am new to this club thing...how does it work? Anyway, I've been a Hartke guy too, since the late 80's...410XL cabinet and 2000 amp. Can dial in the tones I like not only for my Brice HXB-405 5-string fretless and Fender Jazz, but also electric guitar (Tele) with the help of amp modeling via multi-effects pedal. Only complaints are the size of these beasts (very inconvenient especially for smaller gigs/rehearsals), lack of DI/aux output (only has speaker output), and fan noise...actually replaced the original fan with something a little quieter.

sgtpepper--I for one would approve of someone continuing to support this thread, if Stampy no longer wishes to do so, or no longer has the time. I know he still posts to TB (as recently as a couple of weeks ago, anyway). Perhaps a PM to him would be in order...

That said, if Stampy has no objection, I nominate sgtpepper as the new Hartke Club Keeper Of The Numbers!

PS to billgwx--usually, someone starts a thread ("P bass club", "Carpeted Cabs with Cigarette Burns club", whatever), then if you are interested and meet the requirements (if any) you post a reply. Numbers are given out by the originator of the club in order of posts received--at least until the originator loses interest. :) Then you can proudly display your club number(s) in your TB signature. No dues! No meetings! No annoying responsibilities! Beats the hell out of Toastmasters... :)

Washishimi, mannysilvers--awesome rigs!

Yes, I know that Stampy still posts on TB but I have sent him PMs to get my number for this Club and he hasn't answer, so I suppose he is no longer interested in this Club.
As I said before, I can take the lead on this but I need more supporters to do so.

Alright, I'd hope to have more supporters but looks like some of this guys don't recieve e-mail notifications anymore. So from this point, (if it's OK with Stampy and the other Harke owners in this thread) I shall assign numbers to every new post.

The dinamic is the same, post your picture, ask for a number and... Voilá!!!
