I recently bought my new rack featuring a 5500 and then paired it with a newly acquired SWR Workingman 1x15T and a newly acquired Ampeg SVT Classic 410 HLN.

WOW, my band RAVED about it.

i'm totally new here... first post
this hartke thing is exactly the forum i wanted to see. can someone please tell me if the new 5500's are the same qality sound wize etc.. as the 3500's.
i'm in the process of buying a new bass rig again! long story on that one. the last hartke rig i used i was running 2 3500's and 2 ampeg svt 410' hlf's at the same time with a y jack splitter. one head one cab type of thing. the sound was @uckin crazy ! my only problem with goin that route again is the 2 cab thing. if there was any way i could get that sound outa one cab i'd be there in a flash. the fullness of that rig was nut shattering.
has any one used both the 3500 and 5500 ? i'd like to hear about the comparisons..

thanks guys

mark

Hey, Mark! Welcome to TalkBass!

As far as I know, the 5500c (the one still in production) Is a very good option. And with the one cab thing, why don't you get a 810 (HyDrive HX810 or 810XL)? Of if you care about the size thing a HyDrive HX410? The 410 gives you 1000 watts at 8 ohms.
And maybe you can try the LH series heads. The newest stuff from Hartke.

Congratulations!!! And Welcome to the Hartke Club.

Alright, the reason why I'm quoting this is because there was a misnumbering issue. And before I continue assigning numbers I want to make this clear.

dbase got #155 in June 2010 but I guess you didn't notice it, my friend :)
So, I will reassign #219 that you got a few days ago. Don't worry about that.

Members: if you know some of the other guys in the list above, please tell them they already have a number. And please check the thread on page 21 to see if you got a number and you didn't notice.

I feel inadequate posting my little kickback in here, but hoping to score a 410 in an after-Christmas sale. I went through a downsizing years ago and now I'm building back up and it'll be all Hartke.
Can I get a number?

No one and nothing is inadequate here, my friend. As long as it is a Hartke, you can be a member.

Congratulations!!! You're member #219

Welcome to the Hartke Club.

hey sgtpepper thanks for gettin back to me.
well i ended up goin with 2 5500c's and 2 ampeg svt 410 hlf's. i got a decent deal from sam ash. i'm also thinking of a bbe 482 sonic max and an octave pedal the Digitech Bass Guitar Synth or the mxr m288 ? i've used the sonic in a PA i used to own but never just for my bass rig. do u anyone else here have any suggestions or experiance with the sonic bbe and an octave pedal ?

Hello fellow Hartke TB'ers!

I have a kickback combo that I've been playing forever! Recently, a HyDrive 2x10 combo popped up on my local craigslist that caught my eye. I've been wanting to try the Hydrive series. Would this be a step up from what I have now?

No experience... sorry.

Well as promised a pic of my cab to go with my HA3500, I went with a used 2200 pro I got for $100. Great sounding rig. I can now hear myself over my VERY heavy handed drummer.
I do plan on getting different cabs in the future, 2 410's is what I want, but I got this cab cheap and it is 4ohms so all is well!

That was a great cab. I don't know why Hartke stopped manufacturing it.

That's terrific! The only thing we need here is a pic. :)
The OP rules say so... you know. I'm not the OP, I'm just the "number guy"

New to the fray with an LH1000 and Hydrive410. Anyone have advice on how to set up the effects loop? Seems to me it effects the volume level. I run it with a Peterson strobostomp and a Digitech JamMan. The JamMan has an output level on it which effects the overall volume to the amp. Is this correct or am I not hooking this up correctly? Thanks gang.
