Hartke HA3500 fuzzy when playing in the active channel

Hi guys!

So 5 days i bought my new amp from a guy who has had it for 2 years, which in that time, he has had no problems with it.

Here today when i played, i noticed that my tone were almost fuzzy or distortet when i played. First i thought that it were my active bass that needed a battery change, so did that. Didnt work.
Then i tried another bass, didnt work. Then i tried playing through the passive channel, and then there were no fuzzy, and then i tried the active again - still fuzzy. Its not that there is any background noise, its only the tone that is distorted when im playing.

Any ideas as to what is wrong? Its such a bummer that there is already a problem with it after 5 days

Well, you don't have to plug your active bass into the active input. The normal input will do just fine. As to what the problem is with the active input, I'd guess it's the input itself, or else you'd have problems with either input.

Yeah it might be the jack. Put some alcohol or deoxit on the cord end and plug it in and put of the jack a few times, spin it too. Sometimes they get oxidized a bit.
