Trying to pass down a Hartke HA5000 to my grandson, who also plays bass, but it has a compressor pot that the shaft is broke off. I'm trying to find a replacement and went to the Hartke web site and it only connects you with repair centers. I talked with one of them here in Atlanta, Wizard Electronics, and was told that Harke doesn't allow them to sell parts. I asked about service rates and the service will cost more than the amp is worth. Anyone have a solution to how I can obtain this part? It is RV3 on the schematic / PWB. The number on the pot is 4F2 50K. I looked on ebay and searched the web but I don't find that number. It is a dual ganged pot with a switch. I know the European Union has a right to repair law, so I contacted someone in London thinking that might help. I'm waiting on their response. I am fully capable of making the repair since I have been designing electronics as an engineer since 1975. Also, does anyone have a service manual for this model? Any ideas people? Does anyone have a junk one?
