Has anybody changed out the active SQR pickups...

Has anybody changed out the stock active SQR pickups on the Contemporary Squire Jazz bass?

I love the neck and the body works, but I'm thinking about something a little better for the electronics.

If I can't swap out the pick-ups and replace with something the same size, I'm thinking about routing out the bridge pick-up and putting a Music Man pick-up there.

Comments?

They look to be the P2 (5 string) or BC (4 string) shaped pickups. There are many options available in those sizes.

I've been on the lookout for one of these to do the same mod. The older versions of this bass were amazing with upgraded pickups.

I bought one of these recently, new but with electronics issues (bad vol pot, at least - amazing how hard it is to find a match for it :meh: ).
It's likely getting a Sadowsky pre in the near future, I think (hope :nailbiting: ) the SQR pups should sound pretty good with it
