Has anyone else had this problem?

The power cord connecting into the back of the amp comes loose and has disconnected during performance. But it frequently disconnects during load in and out. There will always be something in one of my two racks that has disconnected between gigs. Is there anything documented about this? Any options to rid of this annoying problem?

Small dab of silicone sealant on the plug end, make sure it dries before moving it. Just enough to help plugs stay put. Do NOT get it on the metal of the plug.

For wall-warts in a rack I use a large zip tie around it and the outlet strip or power conditioner.

It also helps to get rid of all the unnecessary cable. All that useless mass just creates momentum to help pull the connectors loose during transport.

On this one, I velcro'ed a power strip to the top of a power amp and trimmed the IEC cables to fit.

A favorite of mine is to run the cable through the amp handle so that the is no downward pull on the connection. Sometimes that isn't possible, though, I know.

Use a strain relief, a little plastic or metal gizmo that wraps around the cable and screws to the case. You can find them in hardware stores.

Every time I transport an amp, I remove ALL cables, including the power cord.

That way, there isn't a lot of excess wear and pulling on it to loosen the prongs.

Cabs and amps and effects never have Irish Pennants in transit.
