Has anyone played a MTD Kingston CRB 5 string bass ?

I am looking for an inexpensive 5 string P bass style bass to use as a backup. I have played a MTD Kingston that I really liked but I have not played this model. The MTD Kingston CRB 5 seems to meet my criteria. I found a used one that I believe to have been made in Korea. The newer ones are being made in China. Thoughts

They play great . It is a very bright PBass sound. More modern but still passive. I owned 2 previously at same time . One rosewood flats. Maple and rounds. You could change out the capacitor and pickup for something that sounds warmer . But these basses don’t sound as warm or woody as Fender & Squier PBass . It’s very punchy and more hollow .
The B string was great.
A pickup swap might require some work because iirc traditional p pickups might not be a direct fit.

The only trick to new pickups is to choose those with removable covers, like Fender, not sealed, like Bartolini.
The CRB routing uses covers that are larger than standard (aesthetic design choice I'm sure).
Luckily the exposed pole spacing is exactly the same. So take Fender pu and use CRB covers - the bobbins are same size.
The windings on stock CRB are far less than Fender Original 1962 as an example.

Mine was around 9 pounds. It wasn’t heavy but it wasn’t a super light either.
