I can say that was a "happy" Lace Aluma P user, I have had them for like 2 years. Since Im a "casual" bass player I have experienced that somedays my bass sounds great other days it sounds tiny.
In the search for that nice warm fat P bass tone I have done anything that you can imagine: changed strings, bought pedals, overdrives, changed amps, cabinets, went active, passive, varitone, etc...
Since this is muy only bass and I think is gorgeous I did not want to sell it. Im a sentimental kind of guy.
Today I noticed in one of those random and unprofessional sessions (at my free time) that the LACE ALUMA P is BROKEN.. some kind of false contact inside make it sound less powerful (less botom end, lower volume, strings with less volume than others). Some days it sounds full and powerful and some days it sounds cheap.
Some wire inside have driven my "search for the holy tone"
In that search I have spent hundreds of dollars and innumerables discussions with my girlfriend,,,
RIGHT NOW I FEEL DISAPPOINTED and maybe a little depressed...
(I want to give special thanks to Line6man who have answered all my pointless questions.. THANK YOU)

Is there something I can do, or I'll just have to buy another pickup?
