Have your bands musical style been similiar or different?

Mine has all been different.

Started playing in church in a worship band

Then filled in a few times for a funk soul band

Then my first real band was alt rock ala soundgarden, rush, tool

Then my 2nd band was a rapper over top of hip hop, rock, funk, and soul... somewhere closer to real rap but along the lines of rage against the machine and RHCP...

Now my current band is reggae... Link Removed

Worked in bands of pretty much every genre, I was even a metal drummer for a bit (and i hate metal).

Always played in ska/punk bands!!

Do play other styles at home, jamming to tracks etc - but bands have always been the same.

I try to stay in the same genre (classic/progressive rock) but I wouldnt mind playing something along the lines of funk though. It would be cool to bust out my slapping and funkier feel.
