HBE Hematoma, stock vs. mod?

Does anyone have any info on this? I know their are 2 different ICs with 2 mod options, standard and tone stacked. Sound clips would be great stock, standard and if possible tone stacked. Im really interested in this pedal and just want to see the differences before I order one. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Ive done a search on this already and came up with unanswered treads, that havent been posted in for atleast a year

I had a Hematoma at one point. It was a great pedal, just decided to go in a different direction for my dirt. As far as I know there is only the burr brown mod from the company, which is supposed to tame the clipping somewhat. TBH, the stock pedal sounds great as-is, and I can't see it needing expensive/unnecessary modifications.

Awesome guys, thanks again. I love the sound of it stock, I just wanted to see if anyone knew the difference in tone. I thought about ordering from here customguitargear.com, they have the three options listed, OTOH, if no one can convince me that modded is better, Ill go with the stock one.

Interesting, never knew about these mods. It's a great pedal in stock form, provided you like thick, medium/high-gain, low-treble dirt.

I always wished it had more highs, but back when I still had one I was more into getting biting tones out of everything I owned. These days of my Shunned Tweeter Phase we'd probably get along better, but that's not to say things didn't go swimmingly during our tenure of domestic partnership.
