head for MB 102p?

I've got a Mark Bass 102p (rear ported) cab and am searching for a good head. I have a Walter Woods but it really does not deliver the low-end punch I like. Bought a used GK700RB-II, loved the tone, but it died shortly after buying it (used) from GC. Now running an MB2-500 (rev A07). Kind of turned off by Class D amps now as it lacks the richness of Tone the 700RB-II had. A Guy at GC suggested its somehow not good to mix head and cab manufactures (I don't agree, but I do like the matching Little Mark III (10th anniversary chrome face) that matches the Cab. So here's the options I am considering would appreciate expert advice (I will use primarily for practice and recording - Gigging is infrequent and always with support of PA. Tone over portability is the priority.

1) My MB 102P with GK700RB-II
2) My MB 102P with a matching Little Mark III head
or
3) pitch both the GK MB500 head and 102p cab and buy a used SWR Super Redhead (Played one at GC used - in great condition, sounded nice to me).

I play a MIA JBass with round wound strings.

Really tired of mixing and matching and want a rig I will be happy with long term.

Thanks TB'ers!
