Headphone Practice Amps

Hello folks,

Do any of you use headphone amps to practice? I use a Cafe Walter Audio HA-1A, and I like it a lot. It is a very clear tone and quite good construction.

That's one of the better units. I have a cheap blue headphone amp, (don't even know who makes it), but it was $30, brand new. I usually practice through an amp, but it's nice to able to play silently sometimes.

I use a Pocket Rockit S1b and it is great. There is some tone shaping on the unit. I set my BSR5GN flat and get excellent tone. It sounds nicely eq'd. Battery compartment could be better designed - had to cram 9volt battery in.

I use a Raven Labs PHA-1, quite comprehensive and great sounding.

I have a Rockman Bass Ace that rides along in my gig bag when I go on deployment. Works fine with headphones, or with speakers borrowed from a computer like a mini PA. I would recommend using a 9V wall adapter with it though. Invalid Link Removed

I've been using a Korg Pandora for a few years and am pleased with it. The amp and cabinet emulations are nice. I also like to stereo Aux input for playing along with recorded music for practice.
