I'm a bassplayer and do most of my practicing with headphones.I have a set of older AKG K 240s and I had a set of Sony professional headphones which blew up( fortunately I was not wearing them when the drivers were blown out) and cannot be repaired.I liked the output of the sonys but the mids seemed a bit off compared to the AKGs which sound great but seem to be a bit powerhungry.
So I'm in the market for a new set of headphones.
I like them to be efficient, comfortable to wear for long periods of time, good tight bass, nice realism and clarity. They should be able to handle me playing slapbass through them and should not be terribly expensive.
Is there a model that stands out?
