I am an elementary school teacher (Music). I can assure you that you don't know.
*I come from a long line of school teachers. I have visited their classes and I agree. I don't know and definitely could not do what you do. I am just speaking as a student. Many times I have seen a teacher ask 2+2 and get an answer of purple. Then you watch as the rest of the class goes onto a five minute discussion on the color purple. It takes another ten minutes to get them refocused and the original question.
*A music teacher, huh? Ever wonder about job security? If things get much worse it will be music and art programs that go first. Music education is unnecessary anyway, right? I mean what good can come from developing a child's self esteem, sense of accomplishment and ability to work as part of a team? Oh yeah and don't forget giving that child a healthy respect for the arts. Who needs it! Is the sarcasm in my comments obvious or do I need to point it out?

*I remember being in Elementary school and having to write a paper on how to teach an alien to make a PBJ sandwich. All the kids wrote something to the nature of:
Step one: Get the Peanut butter out of the cupboard.
Step two: Get two slices of bread.
The teachers response to this was, "What is a cupboard? What is bread? This is an alien he doesn't know what these items even are. I guess I forgot those steps in setting up this poll.
IMHO, elementary school teachers are frustrated by lack of funding for
their schools and bad legislation.
*I will definitely second that. I was raised by two elementary school teachers and have a brother who is currently teaching in a public school. It is a shame that there isn't enough money to the point where teachers feel compelled to dip into their own pockets, and those pockets aren't very deep, to make sure the kids don't suffer. Also, with the way our state monitors a child's development it seems that it is more important that they can pass a test rather than actually have learned something.
BTW, Any headstock that is either of the two Fender shapes looks fine
to me, but I like the Sadowsky, Valenti, and Lakland shapes, too. For
me it is the instrument, not the headstock that matters in the end.

I have to assume the headstock shapes I like are my favorites because
of the sound and feel of instruments having those headstocks. I have
never bought an instrument because of its headstock shape, nor have I
ever decided not to buy because of the headstock shape.
