Headstock Logo

I have been conspiring with my wife to design a new and somewhat original logo for my blue *Squier* P-bass. I took the Squier name off of is after I had to work on it more than I could play it for a few months.

To date I have had to fix/mod/upgrade many things; sharp frets, high frets, cut nut, broken PG, bad wiring, ****** PUs, all kinds of setup work, probably stuff I am missing too. I didn't think this bass deserved to wear the Squier name; on a side note I did purchase a SVM Jazz that is great.

For a Logo I am having my wife draw up " Thudstick " in *close* to Fender script. I am going this way because blank headstocks look goofy, and I don't really want to put "Fender" on the headstock. I am going to have her paint it on to the headstock freehand (I think she can do it) as black bubble lettering with light blue in the middle of the letter.

Here is the bass:

Hi I almost went with Pretender in Fender style :hiding:

That is also a cool idea :D

This fella can make decals to your spec - does a pretty good range as standard too, there are a few here.....

Link Removed

..but he has had many more for sale in the past too.

I want to give my wife a chance to do this freehand first, if she can't get then I will order a custom deacal.

Thanks for the link, too.

Do a search for SuperCal DECAL KIT. I bought mine at Invalid Link Removed for $27 shipped.

If the freehand doesn't work out you can scan your wife's artwork and print out directly from your printer onto a decal sheets. You apply a fixing spray, which comes with the kit and then fix to your bass like any water slide decal. You can then spray lacquer over it to seal - or leave it natural. Either way it is a great way to be creative and personalize you bass for not a lot of money! You get plenty of decal sheets in the kit so you can re-do them as your mood changes

I might just order this anyways :D

Honestly, the fender script is very difficult to replicate accurately. I did a label for another TB'er and it was tough. There are scripts out there but they totally DON't look like the fender script. I think another typeface (one that isn't fender-ish) looks pretty sweet too, BTW.

Here's what mine looked like: as you can see I was eager to get the strings on before the lacquer! At sometime I'll get that done, but right now the bass is one of my main players.

wow, great,
very easy and very nice

I defenetly don't like logos, and I don't like on my headstock,
if I'd have it for free? ok logos, but.... free advertising... why?
some people are proud to wear others logo, for free... why??

on my f. jazz deluxe I have taken it away, and now is ...natural
the same on my fretless,

the same on my cort A6, and I've put a little red star stiker (from my wife's stikers when she was 5 )
