Hello fellow bass players need some help
So recently got a 5 string for a band that i'm going to play in a band who like to tune to drop G# to possibly F at times so at the moment (I think) the gauge that are on their now are 130 to 45. So at the moment those strings are just not cutting it (wobble hell)
Trying to find a set of heavy gauge strings for these sort of tunings seem to be abit of pain tbh. Closest i found were a set of "Rotosounds Dropzone 175 to 85". However im not sure if I need to go that Heavy of a gauge even for G# tuning.
However I am new to this type of tuning so any advice would be great or any experience from players that do this tuning regularly. I don't mind a bit slack nothing needs to be super tight on tension just needs to be a lot better than it is now lol
I know Daddario do 160 gauge string like aswell so maybe 160 than not sure for the others
Kind Regards
Phil
