Hello all!!

That's the way I got into bass. Only thing I will leave you with is old guitarists want to fill their bass lines full of un-needed notes. After you get your scales going and you know where the notes are on your fretboard, concentrate on your arpeggios aka chord tones. 90% of what we end up using are chord tone notes played one note at a time to the beat of the kick drum.

Follow the same sheet music you use as a 6 string guitarist and ..........

..... use Roots first, need more add the 5 still need more insert an 8. The R-5-8-5 bass line will play a lot of bass.
