Hello all

Hi everyone I've been doing some reading and catching up on things to start playing bass again while finding this fantastic club.

It's been years since I have played especially in a band {1995!} but recently picked up a new Player Precision bass I seen on sale at GC. Ocean turquoise with tortise shell 4 ply pickguard. I have been playing it on an old Yamaha 112 thats been collecting dust and is on its way out so today I ordered a Rumble 100 v3 that should be here tomorrow.

My main rig before I stopped was a 74 Fender sunburst precision with maple board. I don't recall the model but this was through GK head of some sort possibly the RB800. The cabs I used were mesa. One was a 15 and I believe the other was a 2 10. I recall having a 4 10 at some point but it was a peavy which was a damn good cab. I kept a Peavy basic 60 at home for practice.

I sold it all for drums back then and played in another band till around 06. My all time {musical} regret was selling that bass. I paid $400 and change for it and it played so well plus was nice and worn in. I have to see what a 74 P bass costs today.

Man the Player basses are up there! Mine came to $700 after tax and that was a sale! $824 now that the sale is over over. The people I played with are gone now but I wanted to keep the light on so to speak and this feels like a solid bass to keep throughout life.

Always loved the precision bass it just felt/feels right and has the tone I like. Also purchased some flatwounds but I am going to re-callous my fingers on these for a long while.

Anyways thought I would share a little instead of saying hi and asking a million questions. Oh wait here's a question! Do you think I'll be happy with the rumble 100 around the house or stick with the thirty year old yamaha thats a scratchy as my cat?

Anyways fwels good to play again and nice to meet you all.

Welcome!

I love my Rumble 100. Plenty for around the house. It’s even my rehearsal amp so that should be enough to get you jamming with people. My go to EQ is 10/2/2/10 (clock readings), that flattens out the scoop and gives you more of those beautiful mids :)

enjoy!

My old beat up 4001 I bought in 1994. The previous owner put a Badass II bridge on it so there's holes in the body and played the heck out of it. I still got but it needs work.

Electronics are rotted, The Bartolini's dead, missing G tuning key gear and screw. Sorry pictures are so big I don't know how lower the pixels and size.
