Hello, didn't see an introductions thread, so...

Hi bass people.I finally(due to a crippling injury) have the time to join in on the fun, ask questions I can't find answers to, and hopefully give a few experience based opinions/answers.
I've been playing bass for about 18 years.as well as many other instruments. Been in a hand full of touring bands, roadied/tech for more, worked HARD as a session musician for 5 years. and have a few record deals under my belt.I've always been a firm believer in the diminishing returns on over priced gear and in the fact that " tone" comes from the player, not his equipment.I look forward to heated debates I've active vs passive, 5 string vs down tuning, flatwound vs tapewound and similar pointless yet endlessly fun distractions.

Well, yer in the right place, then...:D

Seriously, it’s great. Those same topics come and go and sone days are better than others, but the place is full of folks that love and play bass.

That’s a wonderful starting place.
