Just joined the forum. Been playing bass and drums for most of my life. Starting to get deep I. The weeds on tone. I absolutely love the Natural channel on my Orange Rocker 30 for bass but it’s only loud enough at practice. Live it gets lost unless on the dirty channel which I switch to for some parts. My main set up is a Bugera 1960 (150 wattt plexi clone) sitting on a SWR working man’s 8x10. I’m debating grabbing a decent priced Orange TH100 to run as my main head or saving for a little while longer and grabbing the AD200b which would be my first actual bass amp. I like the way bass sounds through a guitar amp so I lean more towards the TH but would love to hear feedback from others who’ve tried a guitar amp or who’ve done both. I’m no expert and at the end of the day it’s all subjective but I appreciate everyone’s take on it. Beauty isn’t definable and neither is “good sound/tone” it’s all a matter of perspective.
