I'm a newbie bass player and thought I'd drop in on this website as it seems to have a good amount of information regarding my new hobby.
I did buy my very first bass already about 15 years ago or so, but I never got to actually pick it up and try learning and playing it. For some reason I didn't like its sound and ended up selling it some 10 years later as that bass was almost never used at all. Fast forward 5 years: This summer I decided to buy a new different bass and I really like it a lot. Now I'm semi-actively learning to play it so I can use it in my music.
I write and produce all sorts of music ranging from classical to techno to pop and rock to industrial and metal... So I don't stay in any well defined sandbox.
For work I do design + R&D work for all sorts of software and hardware music technology products, so musicians around the world can have their gear and have fun with them
