Hello from Ky

Hey all, just joined! Just got into bass. Basically had a Dean bass, and a Fender amp given to me. Don't know much about bass, have played guitar most of my life though. Musical tastes are Hard Rock/Metal, Southern Rock/Blues, Country/Bluegrass. Looking for a course or something to get me started. From beginning to pro, preferably.

Here is a good string to get you started. How to get started?

The sheet music you used on your 6 string guitar will work find on your bass. Play notes of the chord one note at a time, instead of strumming we play individual chord notes.

Start with pounding roots to the beat. When that flows add a V. Root on the first beat and a V on the 3rd beat.

That site I gave you goes into detail.

Good luck.
