Hiya everyone: Well most of a lifetime as a rock, metal and blues guitarist has given way to becoming a rockabilly double bass player! Yep I've definately been washed about by strange tides. As you can see from my profile I'm actually own a company making pickups ... but sadly not ones for double bass at the moment.
About five months ago I Bought a big, blonde Stentor 1950 bass on almost a whim - I've been in a couple of bands with double bass players before - always 'fancied a go' and got hooked. Now I'm busting a gut to learn a whole raft of numbers for the band who are mad enough to have taken me on!
Now I'm rocking a Shadow Preamp and 500w of amplification and having more fun than is probably legal or good for my fingers
