Hello from the cold north!

Well, not so cold currently, but still.

My name is Kenneth, I'm 32 and from Copenhagen, Denmark and I recently got into playing bass (some three weeks ago).
Technically I should say I'm getting back into it as I did play about seven years ago but I never got any good at it, even though I did play in a band (which I was then kicked out of for not being able to keep up), I then switched to vocals and later drums and then stopped playing music entirely for about 6-7 years.

I bought a Cort B-4 and absolutely love it even though I feel like a complete newbie once again, but this time going into it with a completely different mindset.
I've mostly been using the Rocksmith software and have started streaming my bass playing progress on twitch and it's been an amazing experience so far.
Currently putting in 1-2 hours of playing a day but hope to be able to increase it as my stamina goes up...that's of course not counting all the reading and video watching I'm doing on the subject of bass. ^^
Sadly I can't afford actual instruction currently, but if all goes well I should be signing up for a beginner band playing course in July, which I'm really excited about.

I mostly listen to metal and it's also what I want to primarily play (not so much death and other "extreme metal" as I, for some reason, prefer to listen to it more than playing it).
Some favourite bands of mine include Metallica, Lamb of God, Sabaton, Amon Amarth, and my latest obsession: Jinjer.

The end goal is to be able to play in a band and hopefully as more than "the guy who plucks the E-string repeatedly."

Looking forward to reading all the stuff on the forum and hopefully participate in discussions.

Cheers!
Kenneth/Corvidae
