Hi guys,
I found this site via some search engine when trying to figure out the best way to hook up some speakers to some amps. I am not a sound person but am learning. I do not play anything except for a CD player but wish I did know how to play something.
I work for the regional headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and are in the process of trying to piece together audio equipment for the youth department. My goal is to have an excellent sound system that various musicians can hook into that is relatively portable. We have at any given time several guitarists, several vocalists, a keyboard, and drum set.
I am puting together with the help of a local sound dealer, a portable rack which will have a mixer on top, then at least two amps, 1500W and 2600W which will power two 18" EV subs, two EV 15" mains, and two EV 12" monitors all at 8ohms. I am wanting to make sure that the amps are run at the proper ohm level and that the sound board will have full control of the various sound componants.
It looks like there are some people on this board that know a few things and so that is why I am here. Whatever I know I will share (it won't be much
).
