Hello fellow bassists! My name is Kate and I recently picked up the bass. I got a Fender made in Mexico Jazz Bass at a Guitar Center "used gear" sale for a really good price. I've always kind of wanted to play bass but never got around to buying an instrument and this was too good to pass up! So, here I am! Anyway, hope to see you on the forum!

Hello, and welcome to your new obsession!
Great choice for your first bass, second hand stuff gives you so much more value.
I would recommend looking at the warm up and practice threads in technique. Also there is good advice in the setup section for new starters.
