If the OP says he hardly ever plays the 6, why are you all telling him to keep it? I mean, I know it's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but the best advice for the OP is to trade it for a 5 which is obviously his bass of choice.
I am telling him to keep the six because an all wenge Thumb is worth a lot more than a garden variety Thumb 5. The deal does not make sense from an economical point of view. If he can trade it for a bass of comparable value, by all means, do it.
