Help connecting Mixer to Laptop Needed

Hello fellow bass players
I am thinking about getting a small mixer to start recording some silly things and covers in a decent way.
I've been on youtube for years and till now I always recorded with normal photo cameras with bass and backing track all together. I realize that everytime i change camera, I struggle more and more getting decent sounds recording in this cheap way, but heck, I get not a cent from YT so I was ok with the quality.
Now I found a cheap mixer on thomann, and I'd like to get it to noodle around and get the chance to start having good quality covers, but! My laptop has no stereo imput, meaning no cinch imputs, meaning, no damn red and white jack imputs.

So, the actual question is, if I get a simple mixer, what ways do I have to connect it to my pc and record with Audacity or other recording tools?

You don't need a mixer, really... you need an audio interface. Get a simple USB recording interface and a microphone or two.

My head has DI so I'd need no mic, so with the right cable I should be able to connect the head to the Interface and thus to the pc right?

I wouldn't think you'd want to bother with RCA style jacks, Look for a USB interface or USB mixer with 1/4" and XLR mic inputs

Yes to an audio interface. One of the first issues to decide is how many channels you'll want to record at once.

Will you be recording close-mic/multitracked live drums + a full band? If so, look toward 16+ input interfaces.

Are you recording live multi-tracked drums but overdubbing all other voices and tracks? If so, an eight input interface should cover you.

Are you programming drums (or using a simple two-mic set up for drums) and recording all other voices and instruments one at a time? If so, a two-channel interface should serve.
