Hey folks. I'll keep this brief. I just bought an Ibanez400eqm. I love the way it sounds live, but for recording, it just doesn't sound great through headphones. I loved this bass in the shop, but I feel like it's lost "something" coming home despite being set-up by numerous times by the shop owners, a few adjustments, new strings, etc....
Anyway, I'm looking to add a Music Man 24. Will this bass perform better in a recording situation than the Ibanez 400eqm? Should I just save up, and go for Fender Jazz bass? That seems to be pretty popular with everyone I've asked. I'm very experienced, but just can't swing the money for those "next level" basses.
Thanks.
Dan
I would do thorough study of your recording process before buying another bass. My experience is you can fix a lot of things using current technology when recording, and it’s not real expensive either. Best wishes.
