Help! Having trouble with some software!

I'm a newbie to the recording game who's having some problems with my recording software. My DAW is Ableton Live 11 Light, and my MIDI keyboard is M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini. The MIDI keyboard came with three pieces of software - Hybrid, which is a synth, MiniGrand, which is a piano, and Velvet, which is an electric piano. The problem I'm having is I can't get any of these to record in my DAW. I can record my guitars and basses, and I can record drums using MODO DRUMS, but I can't record these keyboard-based synths. What am I doing wrong? How can I get them to record?

vst instruments / software synths produce their output based on a midi input signal. if you want to record their output as an audio file, you'd have to solo their channel and do a mixdown. but you don't really need to. are you saying the m-audio software synths are producing no sound? does Ableton know they exist? however modo drums works, these software synths should work in the same way.
