My friend lent me this bass,
and I'm curious to know what bass this is

Its a Fairmont Jazz, made in the mid 70's to mid 80's at the Fuji Gen Gakki factory in Matsumoto, Japan, which also produced many other 70's and 80's guitars and basses for bigger names too, like Ibanez, Greco, Roland, Yamaha and even some Gretsches and later, Fenders. They are known for their durability and excellent fit and finish for the period. If it plays nice, its a keeper and worth 3-500 to the right buyer...

Got any more pics? I love those old Japanese copies...
