help identify this equipment

A while ago, I stumbled upon this strange device that looked like a large cone that was attached to the headstock by an A-clamp or similar device.

the cone was open over the headstock and it amplified the vibrations of an unplugged instrument making it sound like an upright.

I saw this on some website, then maybe here, then on reverb but I can't figure out the right keywords to pull it up. apparently, amplifier, cone, bass, upright are just too vague for the search engine.

ideas?

Several other questions come to mind.
Does it actually work?
Does it looks as funny as it sounds?
Does it cause more neckdive than a Danelectro Longhorn with an Ampeg AEB neck?
Where can I get me one?
Hence the post...

from what I remembered, it seemed to have worked to a degree but they still had to mic the device to be heard. but it seemed to mimic a upright. again, they had it for sale on reverb.
