help identifying a bass please

I got this from a friend and it is old from what I can tell and by the looks of it is a decent bass. I played guitar for yrs and can tell when something looks decent and the craftsmanship of this is decent and the hardware on it looks good. Only writing on it is on the neck front and back. Marathon pro series on top front and the back of it at the attaching point it has a sticker and is all in german. Was told might be a shergold which would make it a sought after bass. I need to find the correct info on it if possible. thanks

changed it I didnt say it was for sale on here or anywhere just said i needed the correct info on it to possibly sell it. so removed all that on it now. I just need to know all info i can on it as the net isnt telling me a single thing.

I have one of those, I bought it really cheap two years ago. I bought because I wanted to try a maple fingerboard. I changed the jazz P/U for a MM style and now the sound is better. What I dislike about it is that the fret are too brittle and it is almost impossible to set a good action without having a lot of fretbuzz. The Bridge is very solid but very difficult to adjust. I don't have any info on the company but I do know that they used to make cheap jackson copies.

That's definitively not a Shergold Marathon

not for sale I just want to know what it is. Tell what is a joke is when trying to find out info on something it is normally because you are going to buy it or sell it. So just putting up a post if someone was looking they will just ask about it. This has got to be the worst forum I have ever joined when just trying to get a little info about something. First time I posted I got kicked off because I said I wanted to sell it. Funny thing is I was just reaching out to people that gave a crap about this stuff and was trying to hook someone up with something if it was worth it. Wasnt like I was trying to make a fortune off of it just wanted what was owed to me which was very little and give someone a chance to get something old that might be just what they wanted or played when younger and just wanted to have one again. I still have my first guitar that was made by sears with the amp built into it a big p.o.s. but it was my first one so kept it so whether or not this thing was worth anything or not I didnt care I was posting to maybe give something back to someone that was looking. I had an idea it wasnt worth more than a 100 bucks so was more about giving something back. I really dont care take the post down do what ever I just wanted to know what it was so I could advertise it correctly and all I was trying to ask. Not going to join a site just to ask a question and to this day this is the first place I have ever seen that makes you do that and that is one big joke.

If by join you mean register (and not donate), then you haven't been to a lot of sites...
