Help identifying a Fender Jazz Bass model

Ugh...... With this ^^ guys ^^ post, I'd assume that puts the final nail in the coffin. But, you had the presence of mind to post here, and for that, hopefully you'll get your cash back. Let us know if the seller is a man of his word and gives you your money back.
God. I have to admit I laughed when I read RobSatFender's post. I am seriously considering burning myself alive right now hahahaha. I am currently talking with the seller (good sign, he didn't cut communications) and he is in dismay, apparently he was absolutely sure his bass was genuine. Geez...
To me, the most interesting part of this fake is the neckplate reading "Corona California" in the wrong font. If it had been a home- made fake, it would have much easier to simply buy a real Fender neck plate. But to set up the metal production shows a significant investment in time and materials, so probably it came from a factory dedicated to producing fake stuff. Yuck.
Never buy anything in a hurry for that matter, a good deal will always be there sooner or later. Especially be wary of people who need quick cash for an instrument: it is either stolen or they are pulling a fast one on you. I'm glad that you were able to get a hold of him and that he is still talking to you.
Yeah, I did the wire transfer because we agreed to the buy and I went right away to meet the guy. He actually said he preferred cash but I couldn't withdraw the entire amount from an atm because of the daily limit in my card.
Tomorrow should be the day the guy receives my bank transfer and sends it right back. So far he has kept contact so I'm hopeful...
Nope, I made the transfer on Thursday night, and called to cancel it on Friday afternoon but it had gone through already.
Well, happy ending guys. Yesterday I met the seller, handed his bloody bass back to him and he gave my money back. I thanked him for being true to his word, wished him the best and parted ways. I guess he tried to set me up, saw he failed and didn't want to risk a lawsuit so he opted for retreat. To celebrate, I'm going to Madrid this Saturday to see Scorpions with Steel Panther and next week I'll go to my trusted store and buy a badass genuine bass. So, it seems even clearer now that this guy tried to scam me intentionally, and managed to scam this other person in a smaller scale. I'll offer Bomber the little data I have on the fake bass seller in case he wants to sue. I'm glad he managed to retain control of his Fender Jaguar. And glad that I did the purchase in person back in the day, as I think that was the reason the seller got scared and agreed to give my money back. Cheers.
Bomber, pues efectivamente parece que te colaron el mismo bajo que a mí, si necesitas algún dato sobre el tío pregúntame por email o MP y te digo lo que sepa. Qué suerte has tenido de no llegar a enviar tu bajo, porque al no haberlo hecho en persona seguro que el tío se hacía el loco para siempre. Me alegro de que se quedara sin su puñetero bajo falso. Lamento que hayas perdido 150 pero comparado con lo que habría sido perder tu bajo, tú también has tenido suerte. Saludos.
