Help identifying an old Ampeg head?

Hi all,

I noticed this amp on CL today:

and - well, I can't find anything about it. I've tried searching for early Ampeg heads, but all I can find is the 4-input ones - can't find anything on this. Searches for SVT-4 lead me to a bunch of SVT-4 PROs, natch. It looks like something I might be verrrry interested in, but I'm curious to see if anybody can identify it.

That would be a 70's V-4. Which is technically a guitar amp, but they work great for bass as well. Price seems a bit steep, given the visual condition and unknown state of the caps/tubes.

Its appears to be an early 70s Ampeg V-4 head. Seems like the price is reasonable. If you are looking for an affordable tube head with that Ampeg sound, then I would go for it.

Well as anyone can tell you, the only way to pick out an amp is by listening to Youtube clips.

Don't forget about reading the youtube comments. That's important.

As others have said, it's a V4.

You might want to try it out, those are good amps.
