HELP! Loose XLR connection on Shiftline Olympic MkIIIs with Daddario XLR cable!

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help. It seems that XLR standards may not be consistent. My XLR cable is a Daddario and it wiggles in the XLR output of my Shiftline Olympic. Yes this does affect the sound, and same cable is causing hipcups when I try to record with a microphone (curiously, the connection here is not so loose). I paid good money for the Olympic and did not expect this issue. Any XLR cables that tight nice and snug like they should?

Find cables made with genuine Neutrik or Switchcraft connectors.

The D'addario cables have only one line with connectors that resemble the Neutrik connectors, the Classic series, but even then I have my doubts as Neutrik XLRs are clearly marked with the name and I don't see the name on those connectors. And I wouldn't trust any other line with those other XLR connectors. I didn't see the Olympic series.

If your cable has Neutrik or Swwitchcraft connectors, then there might be a problem with the soldering of the connectors. Or if they are crimped, the problem could be there as well.

The Shiftline Olympic is my preamp/di. The d'addario xlr cable wiggles around.

I was gifted a tweed dimarzio xlr that I love. It's my go to cable now. Not sure how it stacks price wise but it's got the neutrik connectors and is rock solid.

plus the tweed is a great look.
