Help Me Choose a Cabinet

Hey guys,
I'm mainly a guitar player, but was asked to play bass for a local classic rock band.
I just picked up a Gallien Krueger 400RB MarkIV head, and looking for a really great sounding cab.

Price is not an issue (within reason)
I prefer something punchy with a really nice clear top end (nothing with a piezo please)
What do you recommend?

Absolutely fantastic recommendation. I have 2 of the Neo 112ii cabs and I really love them. Punchy, clear, easy to carry and stack. If I were in your position I'd just ask for a deal on all of them and you'd have a killer stack with great flexibility. Will be a great match with that 400RB.

I would ask him to clarify is the 212 is 4 ohm or 8 ohm. I believe GK offered the 212 in either config.

Is the 400RB 2 ohm stable, or just 4 ohm? I don't remember. That could change the usability/flexibility of the 112/212 pair depending on if the 212 is a 4 or 8 ohm cab.

If the 400RB is only 4 ohm stable, and the 212 cab is a 4 ohm cab, I would just buy the 212 cab and not bother with the 112, personally. If the 400RB is 2 ohm stable, then it really doesn't matter if the 212 is 4 or 8 ohm. You could run both the 112 and 212 together.

Power distribution will be a bit weird, but the 210 should still be fine.
I guess, confirm they're both 8 ohm would be a must, too.

If price is no issue, I would grab a Mesa Subway 215. It will blow you away with its size, weight, volume, and tone. Hands down it has got to be one of the best single cab solutions available.

(And I say this as the proud owner of two of their 115 cabs as a more modular setup.)
