Some guys love them. My sample size is extra large. 30 plus J or pj basses. If my sample size was a couple I wouldn't be so adamant. Chambering was introduced by him to reduce weight, especially for alder wood. After many of his players tried them, they liked the tone. I was one who thought differently. My 3 favorite of the 30 were metros. All just under 9lbs. Absolutely stellar

Too bad this one is not a J. Stunning black korina pattern.
Even as a P ('54 chambered P, #BP2085, 5lbs. 3oz.), I would love to keep it like this, rear routing, no pickguard.
Just with a P pickup (black cover), a bridge and 2 knobs (all in black).
Nevertheless, the tone is a bet...

I bought a swamp ash Jazz body in Surf Green from Warmoth by end-2011.
Showcase solid body (#BP1185), 4lbs. 8oz.
The fit with my Fender AVRI '62 Jazz neck (2005) was absolutely spot on, there was not the slightest gap in any direction.
